"We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, therefore, is not an act but a habit." -Aristotle ---------------------------------------------------- As we head into the second month of school, take time to consider the words of Aristotle above. I'm running the risk of getting too "philosophical", but..... Whatever you want to do in this life after high school- whether it is to go on to college, enter the workforce, or join the military- you will need to work hard and persevere through the hard times in your life. The most difficult things you will have to overcome are within your own mind- how you handle and react to the things around you that cause you trouble or harm. Those things will come, but successful people can go within themselves and push themselves ahead. The most successful of us are not born- they are made. Practice excellence everyday you are here. Study, do your classwork and homework, talk to your teachers and parents- they are among the best resources you have- and when you need help, ask! Please scroll down for a list of great internet resources for both students and parents. -------------------------------------- Joseph R.
