Central Office Administration includes the Superintendent of Schools, the Assistant Superintendent for Administrative Services, the Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction, the Director of Special Services and the Superintendent of Buildings and Grounds. They are responsible for the administrative and supervisory tasks required to carry out Board of Education policy, programs, decisions, and actions. These tasks include: -
formulating and legislating educational policy; -
developing and implementing administrative regulations; -
leading and assisting in planning and research; -
developing the annual budget using sound, research-based business and accounting practices; -
hiring and evaluating school district personnel as outlined in New York State Civil Service Law and the Rules and Regulations promulgated by the Commissioner of Education; -
planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating all educational programs to ensure alignment to the New York State Standards; -
creating and maintaining a safe and healthful learning and teaching environment. Central Office Administrators are: -
